Here is the stuff we used for the liner.

We used the same stuff on our last bench, it holds up very well.
Lay out the liner.
Tack it with a staple gun around the top edge.
Detail of the corner .
Trim around the top edge.
Press down in the drain to fine the edges.
Make the square about 1" smaller than the edges.
Fold and staple down the edges.
Apply a generous amount of Liquid Nails.
Press the drain into the opening.
Apply a generious amount of caulk and press it into the crack with you fingers.  Repeat a few times.

This caulk dries clear, pretty neat huh?
